Fish for salmon on Scotland’s most famous river for Atlantic salmon, the River Tay.

There are several golf courses in and around Crieff and Auchterarder, offering options for golfers of all levels. Crieff Golf Club has both an 18-hole Ferntower course and a 9-hole Dornock course. Auchterarder Golf Club is also nearby. Other notable courses include Muthill Golf Club, Comrie Golf Club, and St Fillans Golf Club. Gleneagles, with its renowned King’s and Queen’s Courses, is also within easy reach.

“The Honesty Hut” at Farmton Farm is brilliant- take a right onto the main road along to the end of the road, then take a left over a bridge, up the hill and it is on your right. It has fresh organic milk (take a glass bottle from the kitchen to refill), and local seasonal produce. Meat that has never left their farm apart from to be prepared is stocked in the freezer and steaks can be ordered with Debs, the owner.
